(Who is neither currently traveling nor, when she was, traveling by boat. Poetic license is great that way.)
Hellooo lovely readers! I'm really happy with our theme for this issue. I think it reflects so much about life and our journeys. As discussed in the letter, there are times in life where it is good to hold on, where it is necessary to, or when it's just nice to - the memories of the good times, faith, the dates of people's birthdays (if they care about that sort of thing.) Then there are times when holding on is neither important nor helpful - harmful relationships, piles of papers from third grade (if you're a hoarder like me), or when we lock ourselves in a box and prevent ourselves from trying new experiences. I definitely had a new experience on this issue, and some of you may already be able to guess what it is. (The use of first person might help, as well.) For those of you who don't know, I'll explain. It's called "Batsheva's In Israel and Sara Kayla Runs Ayelet Mag Right Now By Herself." Super fun, right? Now more than ever I understand why they say two heads are better than one!! Shout-out to a certain person who most likely doesn't know who she is (because I'm not sure if she reads these) but who probably doesn't want her name on here, and who offered second opinions or checked things out so I could have a second voice when I needed it. Thanks a ton! Your input was hugely appreciated at a time where I (sometimes) felt very much alone. (And occasionally overwhelmed as well.) It's been an experience for sure, but will hopefully become more normal considering I'll be doing this for the rest of the year, most likely.... Anyway, check out our Songspot, serial (if you missed it on the mag), or the Ayelet Issues page (if you're not a subscriber and haven't received it straight to your inbox) or shoot us an email. We love to hear from you guys! Hugs and hot cocoa (with hand-whipped cream) (Yeah. I did that.) (...With help.) Love, We Guy In Charge Sara Kayla

Hey peoples!
Weirdly enough, it's just me (Sara Kayla) this time. Batsheva's off in seminary and the job of We Guy In Charge (currently singular) now rests on me...but as you can see, here we are now! So things seem to be unfolding well enough for now....(bli ayin hara...) The theme of this last issue of the year is Recognize the Heroes. We talked for most of the year about remembering. Recognizing is the next step, realizing the impact of these people on your life and maybe even acknowledging them, as we did in our Journey to Me. A couple things: 1, as I said in the subscription email, Shira and Mushka (our serial author and poet, respectively) were accidentally left out of the "Authors" section on the Credits page. My apologies to them! 2, the Songspot for this issue is a lovely version of Aishes Chayil that I have no idea who it was actually composed by. I actually used - with permission - the chords once given to me by my voice teacher Mrs. Covitch, who I learned the song from. Alright, that said I'm going to leave this post for now and let you guys go enjoy the mag! Wishing you little worries, work, and more wonder! (Remember these wishes are coming from a busy high school senior...) We Guy In Charge Dearest Most Beloved Readers,
You know how much we hate to keep you waiting. And yet we keep doing it. But after a very long Ayelet Mag hiatus, we bring you our third fabulous issue of volume 3! "What makes this issue so fabulous?" you may ask. Once again, we bring you GMDTA - or Great Minds (Don't!) Think Alike - Ayelet Mag's favorite perspective column. Speaking of GMDTA, We Guys In Charge would like to give a shoutout to our illustrator, Basya Greenberger, for her general awesomeness and flexibility as far as GMDTA is concerned. And in general. But we'll let you go now so you can see Basya's beautiful artwork, and the rest of the articles, stories, and poems included in this FIFTEENTH issue of Ayelet Mag. Cheers! Stay safe and sanitized :) Batsheva Miriam and Sara Kayla We Guys In Charge Behold!!!!!!
Dear readers, we are thrilled to be able to announce the second issue of this volume!! (Volume has such a nice, official sound to it.) We know that sometimes we go over deadlines.....way over deadlines....but we hope the end results are worth it, and that you'll keep coming along for the ride;) Oh, and so here's the thing about Songspot: In the mag is the song Chana by Sara Hecht (absolutely gorgeous song, go look it up after sefira) but we weren't able to get a recording yet, because procrastination happened and then Corona happened (for this one, we wanted to have a friend of ours record it, which is obviously not an option currently)...so that's a bit on hold for now, but don't worry! Be'ezras Hashem keep an eye out for an acapella recording of a Batsheva Miriam original, to help with sefira, especially those people who are like Sara Kayla, and keep both halves. Alrighty everyone, I think that covers it. 'Till next time! Batsheva Miriam and Sara Kayla We Guys In Quarantine Dearest everyone,
We haven't forgotten about you! We've just been a little busy, what with school and all. So we've decided that in order to make every issue the best we can, we will release four issues this year instead of six. (This will also probably be the case next year, when Batsheva Miriam is in seminary and Sara Kayla is a busy senior.) But in super amazing news, we're hoping to put out the newest issue in just a few weeks! Happy reading! Stay safe, sane, and sanitized, We Guys in Charge Dearest most beloved reader-people,
It's been a long and fruitful couple of years....actually a little more than that, 'cause this issue is kinda late. Sorry about that. All the same, we've got some fun new things for y'all! We've got a new staff member, and even more new ideas. For those of you who've read the issue, we're so excited about our new column Journey to Me and can't wait for the next one! For those of you who haven't.....go read it!! Speech, silence, and salutations!* We Guys In Charge *salutations is technically a greeting, but what better way to end something than with a beginning? ;) Yeah, we got deep. Behold, the last issue of our second volume. Hard to believe it's been TWO YEARS!!!! Thank you all for being such loyal and loving readers and we hope that you'll keep reading as we embark on our year-long journey to (surprise, surprise) remember the heroes. Stay tuned to see what we mean!
Love, chocolate, and more chocolate**, We Guys In Charge Batsheva Miriam and Sara Kayla **Sara Kayla points out that we mention chocolate a lot, but I (BM) like chocolate so it's gonna stay. Dearest Everyone,
Sorry this issue took so long - there were quite a few complications, some of which may be called "Shavuos," "finals," and "technology." But here it is, in all its glory. We Guys In Charge feel super strongly about this topic - tznius. Tznius really isn't all about clothing, as you'll see inside. Enjoy and learn something! Oh, also - we're working on finding a new platform for our Mag and only after we finished completely editing this one did we realize there may be some formatting difficulties. So if any text is cut off or covered by a picture, please email us (check the Contact page!) and we'll be more than happy to send you screenshots of how the page is SUPPOSED to look. And this, dear readers, is why we need money - so we can print your favorite magazine and avoid all of these horrid issues. Also so we can afford a better graphic designer. Remember to donate on our GoFundMe page (link in Mag)! Love, kisses, and chocolate, We Guys In Charge Batsheva Miriam and Sara Kayla Dearest most beloved readers,
Due to circumstances out of our control, we are publishing this issue very late (for which we greatly apologize), and additionally we don't have a Star Bright Spotlight interview for this issue. Please bear in mind that Songspot does have instrumental music, so if you're keeping second half of sefira, please don't listen until after Shavuos. Hopefully we'll be back and track for our upcoming Shavuos-themed issue! Love and Kisses, We Guys in Charge Batsheva Miriam and Sara Kayla Dear random creatures of humanity,
We Guys In Charge feel like this theme is very self-explanatory. It's better to have patience, with others AND with yourself, than to give in to your pride and "need" for instant gratification. Lesson for life, y'all. Our GoFundMe page is officially set up and accepting donations now, so please head on over and help us out (https://www.gofundme.com/hcw2ug-ayelet-mag).
